Wolves live in packs of up to 20.
A female wolf ("bitch") can have up to six young ("pups").
The strongest pair of wolves (male and female) are known as "alphas".
Only the pack alphas can/are allowed to mate. All other pups are killed.
A single wolf howl can be heard up to 10km away.
A wolf's hearing is 20x better than a human's and their noses are 100x better.
A wolf can travel up to 200km in 24 hours.
